As I have said before, Mark’s Text Terminal is not a political blog. However, this blog is in favor of public schools, and aims to support them. Betsy DeVos is one of the most unqualified nominees for a cabinet position in my lifetime, and in any case is a dangerous ideologue who operates from a position of rarefied wealth and privilege; she has apparently, not to put too fine a point on it, never worked a day in her life. She should not be confirmed as Secretary of Education.
